Valentyn Seredynskyi, Deputy Head of the Department for Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transportation of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipro Region, declared the right to use his wife’s car, a 2022 Tesla Model Y worth UAH 10,000.

Slidstvo.Info learned this from the law enforcement officer’s declaration.

The journalists of Slidstvo.Info called the owner of the car, Anna Seredynska. In the conversation, the woman said she did not know about her husband’s declarations and did not understand why the value of UAH 10,000 was indicated there. The owner did not disclose the real price of the car.

The journalists also called Valentyn Seredynskyi to ask him to explain the cost of the car.

The man said that the amount of UAH 10,000 for the 2022 Tesla Model Y was specified in the purchase agreement. When the journalist asked him to share the seller’s contacts, the law enforcement officer suggested looking for such prices on an online classifieds site for car sales, adding that “he who seeks finds”.

Seredynskyi also said that the question was not for him, but for the vehicle’s appraiser.

It should be noted that the cost of a 2022 Tesla Model Y on the secondary market starts at $30,000.

Earlier, journalists found the declaration of Vitaliy Nikushin, a judge of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyiv Oblast, who bought a 2013 Mercedes-Benz G 350 for UAH 10,000 in 2022 and purchased a 2017 Renault Zoe for UAH 5,000 at the end of 2023. In a conversation with a journalist, the judge admitted that the main amount paid for the cars was spent bypassing taxes. “In fact, the receipt shows a different amount, so I indicate the amount dictated by the seller if I want to buy a car. You can agree or disagree,” the judge said.
