The Orlando droneport, located near the settlement of Tsymbulova in Russia’s Oryol region, has become Russia’s largest launch site for Geran-4 and Geran-5 kamikaze attack drones. Russian forces have positioned the launch rails in the direction of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

A senior analyst with the Darknode Battalion of the 412th Nemesis Brigade, who goes by the call sign “Stella” and shared the latest satellite imagery of Orlando with journalists, said that “no other drone launch site has undergone development on this scale.” According to her, the droneport near the settlement of Tsymbulova is being built to enable mass launches of jet-powered Shahed-type drones.
“The jet-powered Geran-4 and Geran-5 require an 82-metre launch rail,” Stella added. “The satellite images show that seven have already been installed. There are another four launchers for the Geran-3 and three for the Geran-2.”
The analyst noted that until the summer of 2026, the Orlando facility had only one launch strip. A second, additional strip is now under construction.
Moreover, the Russians have positioned the launchers at Tsymbulova not towards Ukraine, but northwest, in the direction of the Baltic states. Asked by a journalist whether the droneport could have been built with NATO countries in mind, Stella replied: “It cannot be ruled out.”
According to Anatolii Khrapchynskyi, development director at a defence company and a reserve Air Force officer, “not only the Baltic states, but no country in the world is prepared for the kind of combined attacks that the Russian Federation is carrying out against Ukraine.”
“These attacks could extend beyond Ukraine’s borders. European countries and Finland are within range, not to mention the Baltic states. Tsymbulova is essentially a launch point that allows Russia to cover part of Europe,” Khrapchynskyi told Slidstvo.Info.
The Telegraph previously reported that Russia had established at least 10 secret bases with new launch sites for long-range drones. The new drones are capable of reaching NATO countries.
