A Ukrainian model named Nastia N. recruited young women for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while receiving benefits from him, including flights to Ukraine, payment for U.S. education, a new laptop and beauty salon visits in New York, according to a Slidstvo.Info investigation based on recently released U.S. Justice Department files.
The journalists reviewed about 1,000 messages from 2015 to 2019 showing that Nastia N., a model from Ukraine featured in the so-called Epstein files, communicated with Epstein and helped find women for him. The correspondence indicates she had a long-term relationship with Epstein, as his assistants regularly scheduled her visits in his daily calendar.
In one exchange, Epstein asked Nastia N. to find him an assistant, specifying: “Smart, willing to travel,” and an age range of 22-25. She replied: “Of course, I’ll find you some girls!” Prior to that, Epstein had bought her a new MacBook for $3,500 at her request and paid for her CAD education courses.
Around the same time, Nastia wrote to Epstein’s assistant that he had promised to help with her trip home in August, buying her a round-trip ticket to Kyiv and back to New York.
Soon after, she returned to Epstein with three candidates for the “assistant” role.
“So … (name redacted — ed.) wasn’t polite in her response. Dasha is arriving in New York on August 25. And … (name redacted — ed.) lives in New York, but I’d like to discuss her with you since she’s in a relationship with a guy. I don’t know, maybe that could be an issue,” Nastia wrote.
She later sent Epstein photos of a friend: “Here are a few pictures of my friend Elena from Russia, 25 years old, who is in Shanghai now and wants to be in the U.S. I met her a while ago and we were friends, but lost contact and recently have reconnected.”
Further messages show Nastia introduced her friend Elena to Epstein. The woman soon began traveling with him to his now-notorious private island, where, according to testimony from multiple women, victims were raped and forced into sexual acts.
In 2018, Nastia sent Epstein a link to a photo of another woman: “How about her for Jeffrey-land? (likely referring to Epstein’s island — ed.) She’s a new friend, very sweet, I can find out more.” Epstein rejected the suggestion, saying she wasn’t to his taste.
Nastia also sent a video of yet another woman: “There’s also a new friend, who’s in NYC, we’re supposed to meet regarding collaboration on the yoga video. See if you like her, and I can find out more.” Epstein replied: “More like (name redacted — ed.) than my maid.”
Around that time, Epstein messaged his assistant, Lesley Groff, to remind her to transfer $10,000 to Nastia. The purpose of the money and whether she received it are unclear from the correspondence.
Nastia N. did not respond to Slidstvo.Info’s request for comment on the messages. After reading the journalists’ inquiry, she closed her Instagram account.
The journalists contacted Nastia’s mother in Ukraine to pass on a request for comment. The mother said: “Actually, I asked her (about the published Epstein files — ed.), she told me she’s very glad she’s completely aside from these events. And how she could appear there, well, I don’t know. I’ll pass it on to her, and she should make sure her name doesn’t appear there.”
The journalists also tried to reach one of the women whose photos Nastia sent to Epstein for potential introductions, but received no response.
The U.S. Justice Department released about 3 million pages of so-called Epstein files at the end of January — emails, photos, and other documents detailing the activities of financier Jeffrey Epstein, previously convicted in the U.S. on sex crimes. The files sparked scandals in the United States and worldwide, as they mention heads of state, prominent politicians, and businesspeople who visited Epstein’s private island.
According to testimony from dozens of women identified as victims, women on the island were raped, sexually exploited, and subjected to other forms of violence. Epstein was arrested in New York in the summer of 2019 and died by suicide in his cell a month later while awaiting trial.
