Slidstvo.Info obtained customs data for 2023, according to which about 22,000 satellite communication systems assembled in Ukraine worth about $5 million were imported to Russia. In response to the journalists’ request, Jabil Inc. stated that its Uzhhorod, Ukraine-based facility does not supply goods to Russia. Following the publication of the Slidstvo.info story, Jabil Circuit Ukraine Limited stated that the company had stopped all deliveries to its client Gilat.

After the publication of the investigation by Slidstvo.Info, “Satellite systems produced in Ukraine may end up in the Russian army. They are officially supplied to Russia by an Israeli Pentagon contractor” Jabil Circuit Ukraine Limited noted that it had stopped all supplies to this client.

“We immediately ceased all production and deliveries to contractor Gilat in mid-March 2024 as soon as we learned of the risks that the products we manufacture for Gilat may end up in Russia. We will not resume deliveries to Gilat until we receive assurances and guarantees that the client does not supply finished products containing parts manufactured by Jabil to Russia or sell such finished products to third parties who may supply them to Russia,” the statement reads.

Earlier, Slidstvo.info journalists reported that Gilat SkyEdge satellite Internet communication systems, which are manufactured for the Israeli corporation Gilat Satellite Networks by the Uzhhorod plant of the American outsourcing company Jabil Circuit, are massively imported to Russia and may be helping the Russian military fulfill its tasks and thus occupy Ukrainian territories. Slidstvo.Info has customs data for 2023, according to which about 22,000 systems assembled in Ukraine were imported into Russia for about $5 million. This is six times more than in 2022, when equipment of Ukrainian origin of the Gilat brand for $840,000 was imported into Russia.

Slidstvo.Info managed to contact two stores in Russia that confirmed the supply of satellite communication systems to the Russian army for the so-called “special military operation”. The seller of one of the stores confirmed that they had systems made in Ukraine.

The video has English subtitles.
