A 32-year-old Russian military man imitated the execution of a woman to mock her and ordered his “subordinates” to rob her house. Prosecutor’s investigators found out about it, and Slidstvo.Info journalists identified the occupier.
On 16 May 2023, Ukrainian law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion of violation of the laws and customs of war during the occupation of Kyiv region to the deputy battalion commander, chief of staff of the 37th separate motorised rifle brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Kondratiev.
According to the investigation, in March 2022, Kondratiev’s unit occupied Andriivka, Bucha district, Kyiv region.
On 1 March, Kondratiev, with the call sign Kardan, and his subordinates broke into the home of a local resident. The occupants searched the house, found Ukrainian symbols and a collection of model weapons. Aleksandr Kondratiev decided that the Ukrainian woman’s husband was a member of the territorial defence.
The Russian soldier grabbed the woman and threatened to kill her. After that, he took her to the yard and shot her several times with an assault rifle over her head to simulate an execution and mock her.
After such psychological pressure on the Ukrainian woman, Kodratiev ordered his subordinates to rob the house. The Russians took away property worth almost half a million hryvnias. The invaders stole valuable equipment, a collection of weapons from the Second World War (35 units) and even an award from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for volunteering.
The journalists of Slidstvo. Info identified the Russian occupier by his VKontakte and Odnoklassniki pages.
32-year-old Aleksandr Kondratiev lives in the city of Barnaul, Altai Territory, Russia. He is married and probably has a child. The occupier has travelled more than 4,000 kilometres to rob and abuse peaceful Ukrainians.
